The Tabs

Zero Terminal is organized as a small set of tabs. Each tab is a workspace surface focused on one type of question. The Command Agent sits beneath all of them and answers questions in context.

Multi-window by design

Each tab has its own URL — /portfolio, /news, /events, /risk, and /command — and is built to run independently in its own browser window. The intended workspace is a multi-monitor desk: Portfolio on one screen, News and Events on another, Risk on a third, with the Command Agent docked beside whichever surface you happen to be reading. Pop a tab into a new window the way you would on a Bloomberg or TWS — middle-click the tab in the app bar, drag it to the monitor you want, and arrange your layout once. News Desks extends the same pattern inside News: separately-routable groups of columns you can drag to a dedicated monitor for a wide TweetDeck-style wall.

Real-time updates

Updates push across every open window over Server-Sent Events. When a position price moves, a broker sync completes, a basket assignment changes, or a Grok search returns, the relevant tab updates in place without a reload — and every other window you have open updates with it. Portfolio, News, Events, and Risk stay coherent across windows because they share one SSE stream per user, fed by the same backend pipeline that drives the broker sync. Open a window once at the start of the day and leave it on a side monitor; it will keep itself live.

Portfolio

Every connected broker, every account, one view. Positions, P/L, cost basis, and account balances are unified across custodians. Stocks, options, and futures are normalized so a multi-asset book reads as a single ledger. Sync interval is three seconds during market hours, five minutes off-hours, with activity-aware throttling.

You can group positions into thematic baskets — AI, Energy, Macro Hedges — and analysis on every other tab respects that grouping.

News

A column-based news surface, modeled on TweetDeck. Standard columns include X Top News (curated global market accounts), Grok-summarized news on your tickers, and SEC filings. Premium adds X Timeline columns that pull posts from your own followed accounts via the official X API. News Desks let you arrange columns across multiple monitors when you need a wider workspace.

Events

Corporate actions, earnings, dividends, splits, SEC filings, and CME schedules — surfaced for the symbols you actually hold. Earnings dates and CME reference data are pulled from canonical sources; everything else is filtered to your book.

Risk

Margin analytics, Greeks, delta-weighted exposure, factor tilts, sector and concentration breakdowns. Cross-broker, so a position in one account that hedges a position in another shows up correctly in aggregate. The view your broker will not give you, because they only see their own silo.
